What is Depression:-
Depression may be described as feeling sad, blue, unhappy, miserable, or down in the dumps. Most of us feel this way at one time or another for short periods. But true clinical depression is a mood disorder in which feelings of sadness, loss, anger, or frustration interfere with everyday life for an extended time
General Symptoms of depression:-

• Low self esteem is common with depression. So are sudden bursts of anger and lack of pleasure from activities that normally make you happy, including sex.
Depression in the Children’s :-
Depressed children may not have the classic symptoms of adult depression. Watch especially for changes in school performance, sleep, and behavior. If you wonder whether your child might be depressed, it's worth bringing to a doctor's attention.
Domestic Methods to Overcome from Depression:-
• Get enough sleep.
• Follow a healthy, nutritious diet.
• Exercise regularly.
• Avoid alcohol, marijuana, and other recreational drugs.
• Get involved in activities that make you happy, even if you don't feel like it.
• Spend time with family and friends.
• Try talking to clergy or spiritual advisors who may help give meaning to painful experiences.
• Consider prayer, meditation, tai chi, or biofeedback as ways to relax or draw on your inner strengths.
• Add omega-3 fatty acids to your diet, which you can get from cold-water fish like tuna, salmon, or mackerel.
• Take folate (vitamin B9) in the form of a multivitamin (400 to 800 micrograms). If your depression occurs in the fall or winter months, try light therapy using a special lamp that mimics the sun.
But if you are depressed for 2 weeks or longer, you should contact your doctor, who can offer treatment options. Or you can buy some prescribed medicine to overcome from the depression, there are lot of anti-depression drugs in the market here is give some brief introduction of some drugs.
Paxil:- Paxil is an agent in a newer class of antidepressant medication known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Depression and anxiety disorders might be caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. One of these chemicals is serotonin, which helps send electrical signals from one nerve cell to another. In the process, serotonin is released from one nerve cell (the sender) and travels to the next (the receiver), where it is either absorbed or returns back to the original sender cell.
Celexa:- Celexa comes as a tablet taken by mouth. It is usually taken once daily and may be taken with or without food. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take Celexa exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often that prescribed by your doctor. Continue to take Celexa even if you feel well. Do not stop taking Celexa without talking to your doctor. This drug must be taken regularly for a few weeks before its full effect is felt.
Zoloft:- Zoloft is a prescription medicine used to treat depression, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (also called OCD) and posttraumatic stress disorder (also called PTSD) in adults. Zoloft is also used to treat OCD in children (ages 6-12) and adolescents (ages 12-17).
